Minwu's in your party and you've got the Canoe. Time to grab the Mythril from Semitt Falls. But first: Paloom, Poft, and Salamand.
Paloom
From Altair, head north past the bridge and paddle straight into the water. The Canoe cuts across directly; way faster than walking around. Paloom sits just east of where you land.

Paloom's a port town. Near the entrance, a pirate offers ship passage to Poft for 32 Gil. Hit the shops before leaving. The armor shop sells Copper Cuirass, a solid upgrade for your permanent party. Magic shop has Cure, Blink, Protect, and Shell. Grab Protect and teach it to Firion; it cuts physical damage and helps in dungeons.

When you're ready, go south to the docks and board the ship.
Poft
The ship drops you at Poft. Walk left to the pub and find the white-haired man at the table. That's Cid, the airship engineer.

Ask Cid about Airship. He'll point you to the guy behind him who books flights. Pay 200 Gil and fly to Salamand.

Salamand
Salamand's a mining town under Imperial occupation. Make for the house in the northeast corner and speak to Josef.

Ask Josef about Mythril. He won't talk to strangers. Ask about Wild Rose to prove you're rebels. He explains the Empire enslaved the townspeople to work in Semitt Falls, searching for Mythril. Rescue them and he'll share what he knows.
The magic shop here sells Teleport. Buy it. This spell lets you escape dungeons instantly. You'll use it constantly. Life is also available if you've got extra Gil. Weapon shop has Longswords, Battle Axes, and Longbows. Bronze armor's available if you skipped Paloom's Copper Cuirass.
Leave Salamand and go south, then west. Use the Canoe to cross the lake. You'll see a waterfall but can't reach it directly. Cross the lake and loop around the mountains to the left, hugging them as you push north until you hit an opening. Go right through the waterway to find the cave entrance.

Before entering, stock up on Potions and Antidotes. Make sure Teleport is learned and your MP is full.
Semitt Falls
Semitt Falls is 5 floors deep with 10 chests, a mini-boss, and the chapter boss. Both bosses shrug off physical attacks, so magic's your only option. Balloons can self-destruct; kill them fast. Green Slimes are immune to physical. Use Fire.

B1. Take the stairs down and go left. There's a hidden passage in the top-right corner with a boulder blocking a switch — you need Josef to move it later. Grab the 200 Gil chest top left and 400 Gil bottom right. Exit bottom left.

B2. Three chests here: Eyedrops top left, Hi-Potion middle top, Potion bottom right. Continue north to four doors. Only take the leftmost one. The other three are dead ends with high encounter rates.

B3. Pick up 200 Gil bottom right and 250 Gil on the left. Three doors up north. Left door leads to Paul — a thief who got in over his head. He's found the captured miners, including Josef's daughter Nellie. He'll escort them to safety while you push deeper.

Take the far right stairs down to B4.

B4. Go left and cross the bridge. Fire Tome chest is top left; teach Fire to someone if they don't have it. Head right to the center platform where four bridges connect. Take the bridge up, then follow the outer edge right and down to B5.

B5. Cross the long bridge to the left, then follow the path up and right toward the chest in the top right. Skip the door on the left — dead end. Opening the chest triggers the Land Turtle fight.
Mini-Boss: Land Turtle

The chest holds a Teleport Tome. If you didn't buy Teleport in Salamand, learn it now.
Head back across the long bridge, then up and through the left door. The Sergeant stands directly ahead, guarding the Mythril.
Boss: Sergeant

Beat him, grab the Mythril, and cast Teleport to warp out.

Delivering the Mythril
From the dungeon entrance, Canoe back down the river and loop above the mountains. Rest at Salamand's Inn if you need MP. Once you see Salamand to the north, continue southeast toward Poft.
In Poft, talk to Cid's assistant in the pub and book passage to Altair. Go outside and board the airship.

Back in Altair, take the path to the weapon shop and speak to Tobul, the blacksmith inside. Give him the Mythril. He'll forge new equipment that appears in both weapon and armor shops. Mythril gear hits way harder than anything you've had. Buy weapons matching your party's proficiencies. Don't waste Gil on Minwu; he's temporary.

With the Mythril delivered, return to the rebel hideout and speak with Hilda. She'll give you your next mission: investigate the Empire's secret project in Bafsk. The Dreadnought is being built there, and the rebellion needs intel.
