Mysidia is a quick stop. No chests, no dungeons — just shops, a bookcase, and a goddess statue underground. The real work is the overworld grind on the way here; 11 new bestiary entries between Castle Fynn and town.
Journey to Mysidia
Sail southwest from Castle Fynn. Mysidia is on the continent in the lower-left corner of the world map. It's a long voyage. Once you land on the northern coast, walk south through the forests and marshland toward the town.

You'll run into a fresh wave of enemies out here. Black Flans and Red Mousses resist physical attacks, so switch to magic. Black Flans are weak to Fire; Red Mousses go down to Ice. Alternate between the two and you'll clear them out fast. They like to inflict Poison, so cure that off before it stacks up.
Malboros show up near the town. They stun on hit, which takes your character out for a round or two. Kill them before they get a turn. Vampire Girls are undead and drain HP; Cure spells work on them if you'd rather not waste physical turns. Bighorns are tanky but slow. Imps have low HP but can inflict status effects, so don't ignore them in groups.
And if you haven't picked up the sea enemies from earlier voyages (Buccaneer, Killer Fish, Sea Snake, Helldiver), this is a good time to sail around and find them. They're missable if you never encounter them on the water.

Mysidia
Rest at the inn first. Then work through the shops. The item shop sells Gold Needles, Maiden's Kisses, and Cross Mallets — stock up on Gold Needles especially with those Cockatrices roaming outside.

The weapon shop has Ice Bows. Good for Maria or Leila if you're keeping them in the back row; the ranged damage plus ice element helps against several upcoming enemies. The armor shop carries Knight's Armor and Giant's Gloves if you need upgrades.
The magic shop is the big one. It's in the top-left corner of town with five vendors. Work right to left: Fear, Basuna, Esuna, Silence on the far right. Then Life, Sap, Warp, Teleport. The middle vendor sells Barrier, Wall, Swap, and Holy. Buy Holy immediately — 20,000 Gil is steep, but it wrecks undead enemies and several bosses. Start leveling it on your primary spellcaster now. The remaining vendors sell Cure, Blink, Protect, Shell, and the standard Fire, Thunder, Blizzard tomes.
Placing the White Mask
There's a bookcase in the bottom-left house that tells you about the Masks and the Ultima Tome if you ask — worth a read for lore, but not required.
Now for the actual objective. Walk to the pond in the center of town and take the stairs down.

Go all the way left to the goddess statue on the platform. Use the White Mask on it. That's it; the mask locks into place and you're done with Mysidia.

Walk back up the stairs and leave town. Your next destination is Tropical Island — a 20-chest maze dungeon where the Black Mask is waiting at the end. Sail back to your ship and continue the journey.
